Rain, Rain, Go Away!

It rained all weekend long. We didn't do much but inside chores and sitting around. I can't complain, though. Sometimes it's nice to just relax. Friday was Hanley's un-birthday celebration at school. Since her birthday is in the summer, they celebrated it before school ends. I brought some pictures of her and told the class about what makes her special. Besides the fact that she's my daughter, she's very special in many ways. She's such a helper with Zachary and Savanna. I don't know what I'd do without all her help. She loves to ride her bike and swim. I brought some goodie bags for the kids, and I'm sure that was their most favorite part of the whole thing.

Paul bought a new trailer on Friday to pull our sandrail and 4-wheeler. We have had the sandrail for almost 2 years and have not had a trailer big enough to put it on. Saturday there was enough of a break in the rain that he repainted our old trailer. He parked it down on a busy street on Sunday and within 2 hours we had someone call to buy it. It was nice to get rid of it so soon. We don't need 2 of them sitting in our driveway.

My parents came up on Monday with Kathy and the kids and we went to lunch with them. It was fun. The kids love seeing each other. Zachary had some bug tattoos that he shared with them. When I first put one on him on Friday, he cried, and kept trying to rub it off. He hates any type of sticky things like tape and stickers. But he got used to the tattoo and thought it was fun.

Zachary stubbed his toe really bad and also banged his eye on Saturday so we didn't make it through the weekend without some owees.

Zachary Preschool Program

Zachary had a little preschool program on Tuesday. He wasn't quite sure what was going on. He sat there looking at all the parents and when he saw me he started crying. He kept hiding behind the boy in front of him. He really didn't do most of the actions to their songs, but it was really cute. He just started school the first of April, so he was new at the whole thing.

Trip to Delta

We went to Grandma & Grandpa last weekend. It was fun. The kids always enjoy playing together. They spent lots of time in the sun.

Weekend Update

It was such a busy weekend. Friday night I took Hanley and Zachary to the school carnival and went grocery shopping.

Saturday I went up to have lunch with my mom, Sue & Dan, Laurie and her girls and my grandma. We ate the the Texas Roadhouse. It was fun. I told the waiter that it was my grandma's 92nd birthday. They brought out a horse saddle and she actually sat on it and sang happy birthday (ok, they didn't sing Happy Birthday, they just yell 'yeehaw'). While I was out playing, Paul was home putting in some sod in a part of our yard that wasn't finished. It looks so nice. It pulls everything together. That was my mother's day gift and I'm so excited. I kept looking out the window at it.

Sunday we had Paul's famiy over for a BBQ. It was fun for everyone to get together.

Update

This has been a busy week so far. Zachary had a checkup on Tuesday for his tubes and he got new molds made for his hearing aids. He's growing so fast. They will redo the molds every 6 months or so as he gets bigger. He is talking so much. Still trying to understand most of it, but it gets better all the time. Paige came over and hung out with us last Saturday. We haven't seen her since Christmas and it was fun to spend time with her.

School is almost out for the summer. This is the time of year that I wish I was a teacher so I could look forward to being home all summer with the kids. The school carnival is tomorrow and I volunteered to make something for the bake sale. So I've made tons of cookies. Made the dough on Tuesday, baked them Wednesday, now I have to frost all of them tonight. What was I thinking?

This weekend is Mother's Day. My mom is going up to Sue's and we will go out to lunch for Mother's Day and it's my grandma's 92nd birthday also. It'll be fun to see everyone again.
