Notes
Hanley is always drawing pictures and leaving little notes on Paul and I's (I don't know if that is the correct way to say it?) pillows. This one was there last night after we put the kids to bed.
A Baby?
About a month ago in the mail I received a box of baby formula samples. We laughed and Paul asked me if there was something he should know. Then about a week ago we got a brochure for Fertility. Last Friday I got more free samples of baby formula. Then yesterday I got a coupon in the mail for formula saying "Congratulations on your new baby". I think I would have known if I was pregnant and just had a baby.

Yard Work
We had big plans for this weekend to get some work done in the yard. We were so glad that all the snow was gone. Then it ended up snowing, about an inch, on Thursday. Of course just a few blocks down from us had snow, no where else in the valley did. Arrgghhh. It was mostly melted by Saturday though.
Paul cut down a dead tree and pulled out a big stump from another dead tree with his truck. We have a section in our front yard that we've never really known what to do with it. Paul ended up tilling it up and is putting sod on it today. We figure that'll be the easiest to maintain and to avoid the weeds. I'll see how it looks when I get home. We are always doing little projects outside and inside, but it seems like it'll never end. It is fun though to all get out and work in the yard.

The Fly-Away Balloon
I bought 6 balloons for my mom's b-day figuring each of the kids could have one at the end of the day. When we were getting ready to leave my parents house on Saturday, Savanna pulled the balloon off of her wrist and away it went. She was sooooo sad. She kept telling us to get it as it flew away. I told her that it's gone and there is no way anyone can get it. She told me that we needed to get a "really big chair" to get it. In the house the kids would get up on a chair to get them down if they got up too high. It was the funniest thing. Hanley ended up giving Savanna her balloon.
When we got home I told her to tell Paul what happened to her balloon. She instantly frowned and almost started to cry. She said that her balloon went way up in the sky and it was gone forever. Then Zachary said that Grandpa needed to "fly like a super" (a super hero, I'm assuming) to get it. And they said that the airplane almost ran into it and that now a dragon was going to eat it. It's so funny what kids come up with.

Visit to Grandma & Grandpa Seats
We visited Pauls parents last night. We've been over there several times lately and they have been gone, so we finally caught them home. Zachary was going down the ramp on a little bike. The one time he crashed I missed taping it.
Happy Birthday Mom!
It was my wonderful mom's birthday on Saturday. Me and the kids went down to celebrate (and to get my hair done). We bought her a birthday cake. My mom is the greatest and I can only hope to be as great of a mom as her someday.
After we had birthday cake, we made all the kids go outside and help Grandpa and Mike in the garden and flowerbeds. Hanley and Trenton did the most work, the little kids helped a little but mostly played.

Little Greenies
The kids were all decked out in their green attire this morning for St. Patricks Day. On my calendar I colored the entire day in a green highlighter so I wouldn't forget. When Hanley was about 3 and I took her to daycare, she didn't have green on, and 2 little girls said "We are going to pinch you, HARD". And they said it really mean. So we ran to the store and got a green shirt. Ever since then I've tried to be more aware to make sure they wear green.
I also made green rice krispy treats to take to work.

Happy Birthday Dad!
It's my super awesome Dad's birthday today. My parents came up last night and we ate dinner with them. My dad is so great, he's always been so fun and loving. He's the best dad a girl could ever have. I Love You DAD!! I have so many more pictures of him but they are all at home. I'll have to add more later.

Snow
Saturday afternoon it started to snow. By Sunday morning we had about 6 inches in our driveway and about 8-10 on the cars. It must have been melting more on the cement. Zachary couldn't wait to go and play. Hanley was supposed to shovel the back deck but "it's just too hard". So I ended up doing it. I really don't mind shoveling snow, but it was really wet and heavy. Zachary and I even made a snowman that was about a foot tall (we didn't have time for a real snowman) with little twig arms.

Is that a guy?
After lunch on Saturday Savanna and I went to the store. The lady that was our checker had short brown hair, and was a little manly, but not a lot. There was no doubt though that she was a woman. All of our groceries were bagged up and in the cart. I slid my debit card and was just about to enter my pin when I heard Savanna say "Is that a guy?" I didn't even dare look up, I just pretended like I didn't even hear her. I knew she was talking about the checker. Who knows, she was probably pointing at her when she said it. Then I heard the checker say "No". I about died. I took my receipt, smiled, and said thanks. At least she didn't say it when we first got to the checkstand, otherwise it would have made for a much longer uncomfortable moment. Ah kids...
Lunch
Saturday after the girls got nails done, Paul and Zachary met us for lunch. It's been a while since we've seen Paige and Brynlie. I can't believe how big Brynlie is getting. She has a super cute personality. It was fun to see her and Paige.

Saturday morning chaos
On Saturday morning Paul and I try to sleep in a little bit but the kids are up by at least 7. I usually end up getting up with them, but if I don't, they destroying something. A few times, Zachary has gotten my camera out of my purse. Last night when I was looking through all the pictures that had been taken, I came across 73 pictures that he had taken Saturday morning while I was in bed. He got pictures of the dog, the fish tank, his feet, and many pictures of his mouth.

Girls morning out...
Saturday morning I took Hanley and Savanna and we met Paige to get our nails done. Paige and I got out fingernails done and Hanley got a pedicure. She thought it was the neatest thing ever. She loved the massage chair and almost fell asleep.
Mus-kles
The kids are always talking about how strong they think they are and their 'mus-kles'. The other night Zachary took his shirt off to show us his muscles and Savanna thought she had to do the same.
Then they did a little dancing. I really love Zachary's moves.

I Love Fridays...
Not just because of all the normal reasons someone would love Friday. It's the one day of the week that Zachary doesn't go to school. I don't have to make him a lunch, I don't have to argue with him on what he'll wear that day or what shoes he wants. I can keep him in his pajamas and not care how they are dressed.
Today was pajama day at Hanley's school so she wore pajamas too. It was also a day they are talking about rocks (or something, I don't remember exactly what she told me it was) so she took her rock collection. And little Savanna was so excited when we found (the babysitter gives us tons of hand-me-downs for her, I never buy her anything, so we 'find' lots of things) this little skirt for her to wear today and it wasn't sooo cold that she couldn't wear it.
Hanley has had some bangs for a while now but they were long and she always wore them to the side or put up with a bobby pin. I kept telling her that we should just cut them to make 'real' bangs. She wouldn't have to worry about pulling them up or having them hanging in her face all the time. She refused. She said "I know I will hate them" over and over. She just knew it. Finally a couple days ago she came to me in the morning with a pair of scissors and said "fine, just cut them". I told her no and that I will only cut them if that's what she really wants. I don't want to cut them and have her be mad at me cause I made her do it. She then said just to cut them a little shorter. I took the hair and the scissors, and put my fingers at a specific point, and asked her if that was good, she said yes. Then when I cut it, she said "that's too short, that's not where I wanted them". AAAAHHHH! "Then why did you say yes when I asked if that was the spot". She said she couldn't see where my fingers were. "Then you shouldn't have said yes" I said. She took off upstairs, I think she was mad. I went up there and she was combing them saying "what am I going to do with them". I helped her fix them, then she kept looking in the mirror and said "I can live with this". She totally loved them. They really do look cute and I'm glad she likes them. That night when I got home she was doing her homework and wrote on a little paper 'I LIKE THE BANGS' and slid it over to me and smiled.

Flashback Friday
This was my fifth birthday. I was positive that this was Robert's birthday, but on the back of the picture, his name is crossed off and mine is on there in my mom's hand-writing, so I guess it was mine. And I still remember that big sore in between my eyes. I kept picking at it and it kept getting bigger and bigger.

I'm not sure what year this would have been but probably 1981 or 1982. I look about 4 or 5 and Mike looks about 2 or 3. I remember my dad putting this new playset together. We were so excited.

Throw Up
At 10:20 yesterday morning I got a call from the babysitter saying Savanna had thrown up. Luckily she made it to the bathroom and didn't get it on the carpet. I left work to go pick her up. Karen had already bathed her and cleaned her up. She acted fine. She didn't have a fever or act like she felt bad. She sat on the couch and watched TV while I worked on my laptop. At about 2:00 she ran over to me and said "I'm sick" and grabbed her mouth. I yelled "get to the bathroom". She started running and made it to the front entry and threw up on the floor, continued to the bathroom and threw up all over the toilet and the bathroom floor. She was sobbing. I'm actually impressed that she was able to tell me, cover her mouth and make it to a non-carpet floor. Usually kids throw up instantly wherever they are and can't hold it at all. I took her up to the tub and cleaned up the wonderful mess. 3rd tub in one day. I really hate throw up.
Zachary threw up in his bed on Friday night. I woke up about 2:00 am and saw the bathroom light on. I went to see who was in there and he had a big towel in his hand. He was a little shook up. He said "I threw up in my bed". I think he was getting ready to go clean it up himself. Poor little guy. Luckily it was all in one spot on the bed. I just wrapped up the sheets and took them to the washer. He was sad.
They don't act sick, and no fevers, no other symptoms. Maybe their bellys just got irritated by something. I'm hoping I don't get another call about Savanna today.

From the mouth of Savanna...
This little girl never ceases to make us laugh with what she says. After she got out of the tub this morning we went into her room (we usually go in mine) to get her dressed. I got her clothes out of the drawer and sat on the little chair in her room. This is what she said:
Savanna: Mom, that chair is too little for you
Me: It's ok, let's just get you dressed
Savanna: Mom, your bum is too big for that chair
Me: It's ok, come on let's hurry
Savanna: Your bum should be this little (she holds out her hands and made a very small circle)
It was hilarious.
If you don't want to read about her talking about her poo, then stop reading now.
Last night she went to go potty, she hollered for me to come help her. She got up and pulled up her pants as I flushed the toilet. She looks in and says "Eww, that's a yucky poo". I said "yep". She said "I love poo's, I really love poo's". I don't know why she really loves poo's. Maybe because she feels better after, but really, why would she say anything?

Cousins
The kids have been dying to go to Delta to see their cousins. Every day the last 2 weeks Savanna & Zachary have been asking us when we're going to see Lanie & Mikey. I told them last Friday that we will go in 2 weeks. So every morning and every night they are asking if it's the day to go. On Friday, Zachary asked if he had school and I said "no, you are just going to Karen's and Mom is going to work. So he knew if there was no school, and it was a babysitter day that it was Friday. And if we do go to Delta, that's the day we go. He got excited and said "we're going to see Lanie?"
Best Friends...
Zachary and Savanna used to fight constantly. But lately they are such little buddies. If Paul and the kids are wrestling around they always help each other. Sometimes I'll grab Zachary and hold him, and as he tries to get away Savanna will say 'Let go of my brother' and she'll grab and hug him. They've been calling each other their 'best friend' lately. It's really cute. They are already looking out for each other.
Yesterday while getting ready for church, Zachary kept asking me if he could go to my class. I told him he had to go to his own. I'm Savanna's teacher so she thought if she gets to go to my class that he should be able to as well. They're so funny. She doesn't realize she only goes to my class because I am her teacher and it is her class too. They looked too cute so I took a picture of them before we left. This hat that Zachary has on seems to surface every now and then out of the toy box.

Projects
On Saturday we went to Home Depot and bought some new items for things that need to be updated around the house. Paul installed a new light fixture above the sink in the kitchen and new light in our master bathroom. We put together some new shelves for a few closets and replaced a toilet seat. We do a few things every so often and hopefully someday we'll run out of things to do (but I don't think that'll happen anytime soon).
Eye Doctor and Chili's
This last weekend was good but they just don't come around fast enough and when they do arrive they are over too soon.
I took Friday off to take Zachary to an eye doctor appointment. The appt time was 10 am and we didn't get out of there until about 1:30. When they dialate his eyes, the medicine takes about 45 minutes to work. So we get into the doctor room, they ask some questions, put the medicine in to dialate, then we go back to the waiting room for 45 minutes (which ended up actually being 1 hour and 20 minutes). There were so many people there. I think Thursdays are his surgery day so there were several kids there for post-op checkups. They checked him out and we will go back in 3 weeks for him to test a few different strenghts of glasses on him. Then we'll get him a real pair.
Friday night my parents came up for an appt so we met them at Chili's for dinner. The kids are always very excited to see them. My mom had brought a Valentine's gift for them. They could hardly wait on the way home to open their fun bags full of goodies.
