Hanley's Child Development Class

Hanley had to bring a pretend baby home for the weekend and take care of it. It has sensors on it and has to be fed and changed regularly or it cries. And it can cry really loud. His name was Aiden. I think she did really good with it and kept it happy for the most part, except once when we couldn't find the second diaper for a few minutes and it cried louder and louder. She kept saying "I'm never having kids!!"

Park

The weather has been getting nicer so we took the kids to the park to get rid of some of their energy. Although it seems like it never actually makes them tired, it just winds them up more.

Madisyn and Michael's Baby Shower

My cousin and his wife had a baby shower for their daughter Madisyn and her husband Michael. It was fun to see everyone and help them prepare for their upcoming addition.

Handwriting

I am amazed out how good Zachary's handwriting is. I don't think most 11 boys write this neat.

Christmas Presents

We still have a pile of Christmas presents waiting for Paige and Brynlie to come visit us so they can open them. Hopefully it'll be soon.

Field Trip

I went on a field trip with Savanna to the Thanksgiving Point Museum of Natural Curiosity. All parent helpers had to drive their own cars though. I met them there and then we got told we were actually supposed to be at the Dinosaur Museum. After all the confusion was figured out, they told us to stay there and we all went in. We were only there for about an hour. Then the kids headed back to school to eat lunch, and I ran errands and went home.

Zach

Zach bought a Rubik's cube a few weeks ago with his own money he had earned. It must be the popular thing with a few kids at his school so he had to have one. Then a few days later, he came home with a hat and told me that he traded his Rubik's cube for the hat. I told him that's fine but he better not ask me to buy him a new one. Then a few days ago he told me that he really wanted a new Rubik's cube. But he never asked me to buy him one, he just told me that he needed to do a bunch of chores so he can earn money. He has been asking me constantly what things he can do to earn money. I love that he's realizing that he has to actually work for things.

He's also been having me cut his hair every couple of weeks, trimming the sides nice and short. Although it doesn't show very well in this picture.

Valentine's/Anniversary/President's Day Weekend

Savanna had this cute Valentine's drawing hanging outside of her class when we went to parent/teacher conference.

I sent a couple cute cards to Paige & Brynlie for Valentine's.

We didn't have much time to spend on Zachary's box so I just bought a roll of camo duct tape and we made a quick monster.

Zach found this huge icicle outside.

I made a special dinner for Valentine's Day for everyone. I found a fun recipe for mini key lime pies. It was my first time ever making ribs, and they turned out so good.

We celebrated 19 years together today. Time flies when you're having fun.

Zach and Savanna made some cute cards for us for our anniversary.

Then we also found this in our room. So they counteract the cute cards with this. haha

We went bowling. We put the bumpers down on our last game. We all did worse except for Paul.

The things kids say...

We were in the car driving to get something to eat and I mentioned to Paul that we will have to go to lunch sometime this weekend for Valentine's Day and our anniversary. Savanna says "then are you going to do it in the car on your date?"

I about died. She was laughing so hard. I don't think she actually knows what "it" is, but oh my goodness!

2016 Goals

I ran across this cute little guitar that Savanna made that had her 2016 goals written on it. Run faster, save money and walk my dogs. So cute!
