Snow, snow, snow...

Friday & Saturday it rained and rained and melted so much of the snow we had. We could finally see spots of grass again. But not for long. Sunday night it started to snow. By Monday morning we had almost 2 feet of snow. Paul stayed home, there was no way he was going up the canyon with the weather, and he had to get rid of the snow. I talked to someone at work and they said it was fine there. So I eventually headed out to work. Yep, the only place that was very bad was our town. It was partly sunny all day at work. It snowed all day at our house. By this morning there was another 10 inches or so. So much for having some of the snow gone.

Can you find the trampoline in this picture?

Petroleum Jelly + Hair = Mess

Last night Savanna had a little diaper rash. So I put some Vaseline on her. I accidentally left the bottle in her room. This morning when she woke up and opened her door I could smell the vaseline and knew it wasn't good. She comes out of her room with a shiny face and globs and globs of it in her hair. I put her in the tub and washed her hair 3 times. It didn't touch it. So I just combed her hair up in a pony tail and bun. It's probably hard as a rock by now. I will need to try tonight and figure some way to get it out of her hair. I'm just now thinking I should have taken a picture :-)

Sick

Last Tuesday I started feeling like I was getting the flu. Freezing, fever, headache. It was awful. As the days went on it got worse and worse. I was just waiting it out and hoping it would end soon. Finally on Saturday, after days of not even being able to get up, I finally went on webmd.com just to see how long this thing was going to hang on. I read all about the flu, home remedies, etc... And I kept thinking 'there are sure a lot of symptoms of the flu that I don't have, coughing, stuffy nose, all the lung stuff'. So I went to the symptom checker and put in the main things I had. One of the possible causes popped up with Urinary Tract Infection. How could that be when nothing I put in seemed to have anything to do with that?

So I clicked to learn more. After a bladder infection gets too bad, it moves into your kidneys. Well, the week before, I had a bladder infection. I drank tons and tons of cranberry juice. The symptoms seemed to go away and I thought I was fine. Nope! Every symptom I had was from the bladder infection going into my kidneys. I went to the InstaCare to verify that was the problem and to get antiobiotics. I was full of infection. I could not believe that I went through a week of pure hell and it ended up being from a stupid bladder infection! I never ever would have thought the two could have gone together.

It was honestly the worst thing I have ever, ever, ever been through!!! EVER!!! So... if you ever have a bladder infection, make sure you get antibiotics and get rid of it right away! I will never think I can get rid of it myself again.
