100%
Savanna showed me her homework and she had 100% on a math test and spelling test from last week. I told her it was awesome. She showed it to Paul and told him "you know, not everyone gets 100%". She was very proud. She loves school and it's so fun to see her be excited about learning.
Wrestling Practice
Zachary finally got his wrestling singlet and was excited to wear it at practice last night.

My Girls
A couple pictures of my girls from the weekend. Funny (not funny then) note about the dent in Hanley's forehead (that she always reminds me of and tries to make me feel bad). When she was about 18 months old, I was getting ready for work and she was sitting on the toilet lid. She fell off and hit her head on the tub and to this day she still has a dent from it. I felt like the world's worst mom and I remember when it happened, I called my mom totally bawling.

Wrestling
Zachary started a city wrestling team and had his first practice. He loved it. We'll see how it goes when he has an actual match and really gets thrown to the ground by another kid, not just practicing the moves.

Another Surgery
Zachary had to have surgery on his ears and get his adenoids removed again. They can grow back and his had grown back a little bit. They replaced the tube in his right ear and there was a polyp behind the old one, which caused it to stop working in the first place. The left tube was OK so he just cleaned it all out and he scraped off the adenoids again.
Zachary knew for several weeks that he was going to have the surgery. Usually he's really scared but he's old enough now to know that he'll be asleep and it won't hurt. We had to be at the Surgical Center by 6:00am. He had to have a bath before too so we were up very early. We left the house by 5:15am. He was the first surgery scheduled for 7:00am. When we got there they weighed him, got his hospital clothes on, checked his blood pressure. He laid in the bed and was totally find. Usually the meltdown begins as soon as they ask him to step on the scale. The doctor and anesthesiologist came in and he was totally fine until the OR nurse told me to give him a hug and kiss and she'd take him back. He started crying. I felt so bad. I know he was nervous but was being so brave.
The doctor came out at 7:50am and told me all that he had done. Zachary came in a few minutes later in the bed eating a popsicle. Usually as soon as he gets out to me he wants to get dressed and go home. This time when we asked him if he was ready to go he said "no, I'll just rest here." Then he fell asleep for a while. I asked him again if he was ready and he said the same thing. I told him that we better go and he can rest at home. He got dressed but he was feeling nauseous so he laid down for a little longer. We got all the way home and when he got out of the car in the garage he threw up (luckily we had the throw up bag from the hospital). Then he rested for the day and was basically 100% by the next morning, with the exception of his throat hurting a little.
He was sure a trooper and I hope that's his last surgery for a while.

Piano
Paul's dad had given us the paino in his house several months ago and we finally went to pick it up. I'm excited to play with it and maybe can learn how to play again. I took piano lessons for years when I was younger and now have no clue and remember nothing. Savanna says she wants to take lessons so maybe I'll find someone close that can teach her.

Snow
We got our real first snow storm of the year. At least this year I had my snow tires on in time. Now it's cold enough that it won't be melting anytime soon.

Happy Birthday Savanna! (and Happy Halloween)
Savanna had her 7th birthday and celebrated Halloween too. She dressed as a Kitty, Hanley was a nerd and Zachary started out as a Vampire. I went to Savanna's school to do the birthday highlight of her and also helped with the class Halloween party and watched the costume parade.
When we got home he took his costume off and wanted to just wear regular clothes. I told him that if he wanted to go trick-or-treating then he HAD to wear a costume. We got this white shirt and tore it up, put a little gray and brown spray paint on it sprayed from far away so it would just look dirty, and wiped some fake blood on it. Then redid his face makeup to look like a Zombie.
