We spent a couple days at my parents house. The kids spent many hours riding bikes and playing. We took them to the splash pad for a little while, but it was windy and made it a little colder than we hoped.
Zachary brought home all of his work books from school and with them he had a journal. He had only written one thing about how he loves to go to the goon (Lagoon). Then on the page titled "My True Love" he wrote the following. He has never even seen her outside of school so I don't know why he says "she kissis me at my house." I tell him he's too young to have a girlfriend and he better not be kissing anyone, so I think that's why he wrote this and had to show it to me.
Savanna's gymnastics class had their end of year show (even though she has only been in since the first of April). She loved every minute of it and was non-stop smiling. She even got a trophy.
Zachary had an assembly at school for their 'It Pays to Read' program, and his named got called for a prize. He got $15 dollars and a toy car. He was so excited.
When I pulled out of the driveway yesterday, I noticed in between our motorhome and the neighbors house, our cat was sitting there with a deer right by him. It was like they were getting to know each other. The deer didn't move and I had time to get my camera and get a picture of them.
I went with Savanna's class yesterday to Thanksgiving Point to visit their farm. We rod on a wagon, saw horses, pigs, cows, chickens, bunnies, ducks and lots of other things. It was fun to spend the day with my girl.
On Saturday, me and the kids went up to Draper and had lunch with my mom, grandma, aunts, uncles and cousins. Afterwards, we went to my aunt's house and had cake and ice cream for my Grandma's 97th birthday.
I bought Savanna some new sandals last week and told her that she was going to have to do some chores for getting them. When we got home she said "I better do the dishes for those shoes." She loved doing them and said it was her favorite chore and she should do them all the time.
We were talking about my Grandma and how she will be 97 on her birthday in a couple of weeks. Zachary said "whoa! when she gets 98 she will be REALLY tall!"
