Savanna

Savanna and Zachary were playing Barbies and he said "mom" (to the Barbie mom), Savanna said "what?" He said "That's not a mom Barbie", Savanna said "Uh, yea it is, she HAS boobs!"
I was taking pictures of her and Zachary. After this first picture she wanted to see the camera and I kept telling her to smile and the second picture is what I got.

Merry Christmas

Christmas was great. I worked the Monday before Christmas then got the rest of the year off. It was so nice to be home with Paul and the kids for so many days. We lounged around and ate a lot and watched a lot of new movies. We got lots of DVD's so we had to watch them all (some several times). Paul had to plow snow for the city for a few days after Christmas but was able to be home most of the time with us.

Christmas Eve Pajamas

The kids opened new pajamas on Christmas Eve.

New Stockings

I bought 4 similar stockings years ago when it was just me, Paul, Paige & Hanley and wrote our names on them with glitter glue. Then we added Zachary and Savanna and have had random stockings. Every year I've wanted to get new matching stockings. I found some really cute ones that weren't too expensive so I got them. They have our names stitched on them and they turned out so super cute! Each one has a different character; Paul is Santa, I am Mrs. Claus, Paige is a snowman, Hanley is a moose, Zachary is a black bear and Savanna is a penguin. I'm so excited!

Snow

Monday morning we woke up to a little bit of snow. By the time we both got home from work we had about 1 1/2 feet. Couldn't believe it. Paul got it all cleared out front and I did the back, meanwhile, it continued to snow. We had another 6 inches when we went to bed and woke up to about another 1 1/2 feet, still continuing to snow. By the time it stopped Tuesday afternoon we had about 4 feet on the ground. Needless to say we both stayed home and school was cancelled.

Family Party

We had a party last Saturday with my dad's family. We have it every year and it's always fun. It's the one time of year that we get to see the family, besides once in a while on the 4th of July. We played a game this year called "I've never". It was so funny.

Savanna's Preschool Program

Savanna's preschool put on a Christmas program. Savanna has been singing the songs for weeks. It was fun to watch her. She didn't sing real loud or sing all the time, but at least she didn't get scared and cry and not want to sit in front of everyone. At the end Santa Claus showed up. She looked a little scared until the girl next to her said (super excitedly) "It's Santa Claus!!!" All of the kids got to sit on his lap and tell them what they wanted then they each got a little gift. While she was singing Jingle Bells, she flipped her bell so hard it hit her in the eye.

Zachary's Tooth

A little while ago Zachary asked me why Lanie, his cousin, lost some teeth. I told him that he will soon too. Then last week he said something about a boy in his school lost a tooth. I think he was a little curious about the whole thing. But I felt all of his teeth and none of them felt loose.

Last night we went to pick up Hanley and he was laughing and having fun in the backseat. When we pulled in the garage he came up behind my seat and was crying and pointing at his mouth. I asked him if he bit his tongue and he said "my tooth". He showed me and his bottom tooth was almost out. He was totally crying. Me and Hanley acted excited and said "yea, you are going to lose a tooth". He kept saying 'like Lanie!' When we got in the house I asked him if he wanted to me pull it out (thinking he'd say no cause he was still crying) and he said yes. I pulled it out and he cried and cried. It was so funny though cause even though he was completely bawling his head off, he did a thumbs up to Paul. It was the cutest funniest thing. He cried for a while then when he finally stopped he was skipping around. He was so excited.

Sweet Dog Suzie

Just over 11 years ago after Paul and I bought our first home, a little boy came to our door with a puppy and asked if it was ours. I told him no but that we'd would take it and try to find the owner. Well, we never looked for the owner. She was such a cute dog with a super cute personality. She was sweet, so so great with the kids, calm and cute.

I don't know what happened to her last night but she bloated up and was whining in pain. It was awful to see her that way. She stayed outside for a couple of hours and when I went out to see how she was doing about 4:30 I found her passed away. I don't know if something burst inside her and her insides filled with fluid, or what. Her stomach cavity had completely swollen up. We were all heartbroken. We are going to miss her so much.
