Crazy Hair Day

It was crazy hair day and Savanna had specific ideas about how to do her hair. She wanted 3 buns down the middle and a braid on each side.

Memorial Day

On Memorial Day we went to the Payson cemetery to see some of Paul's family's graves. Then we went to the Spanish Fork cemetery to see the Wall of Honor to see his dad's name on the wall that has all the names of veterans from Spanish Fork.

Weekend

Me and the kids went to Delta for a couple nights on Memorial Weekend. We went to the park, skate park and watched the rock crawlers a few times. The kids had so much fun with cousins. When we got home that night I got some flower pots planted.

Fantastic Falcon

Savanna got a Fantastic Falcon award and got her picture taken with the other kids who got one and the principal.

Choir Concert

Hanley had her last choir concert. I never get very good pictures of her on stage but Savanna always takes a couple pictures of herself.

Grandma Great's 98th Birthday

It's my grandma's birthday right around Mother's Day and she is turning 98 this year. We always get together and have lunch and cake for her birthday the Saturday before Mother's Day. She loves being sung to at the restaurant.

Savanna's First Grade Program

Savanna did a great job at her first grade program. She has been looking forward to it for weeks and has been singing the songs and talking about what they are doing.

Dentist

All three kids had to get fillings. Hanley had 1, Savanna had 2 and Zachary had 3. I say this every time, but I really need to monitor them more when they brush and make sure they do it twice a day. Savanna and Zachary both had the laughing gas. Zachary didn't say much but Savanna sure acted a little weird.

Things Kids Say

Hanley and Savanna were calling each other names. They were going back and forth saying things like "jerk" "idiot" "butthead", then Savanna said "word I can't say". We all laughed and it diffused the arguing.

We were sitting on the front porch and saw this giant ant in the dirt. Savanna said "whoa! that's more like an uncle!"

Savanna and Zachary were talking about something and Savanna said "I already knew that because I'm side-kick (meaning psychic).

I made a chore chart and put it on the fridge. A few days later I noticed that the word "Chores" had been scribbled out and replaced with "Play Days" and Zachary's chores had been scribbled out for the week.

Track

Zachary and Savanna started city track. They did a timed run of 400 meters. When it was over, Savanna said "we had to run 400 miles." They practiced the javelin and standing long jump. They have practice every Monday and Wednesday and will have 4 track meets in the next few weeks.

Getting the Garden Ready

We worked on Saturday to get the garden ready. I wish I had time to take care of a bigger garden but I just don't, but I still wanted to get a few things in. I cut out the grass to make it a little bigger and had the kids get all of the weeds out. Bugar the dog wanted so badly to be part of it all. We have a few raspberry plants, strawberries, jalapeno, tomatoes, zucchini and sugar snap peas. I had to put a little fence up to keep the dogs and deer out.

Signed

Savanna didn't waste any time getting her cast signed. The first day back to school with her cast she had it signed by everyone in her class. There wasn't any spot left open. She was so excited.

Haircut

We went to eat with my parents one day and Hanley went to her friends house instead of coming with us. She texted me while we were eating and said that her friend cut her hair.
