Connie Brewerton Seat was born in Springville, UT on May 11, 1937 to Orrawell and Alwena Brewerton. She had two older sisters Dolores and Mern.
Connie met her sweetheart in Payson while driving down Main Street with her friend. John crossed the street in front of her and she told her friend “I’m going to marry him”. Connie attended BYU for a short time until she met John and had a family. They married on October 17, 1956.
Besides being a wonderful mother and homemaker, she worked a few different jobs and especially loved the Bagel Factory in Orem.
She had two daughters Debbie and Kerrie and three sons Don, Paul and David. She had 12 grandchildren, six boys, Jake, Jordan, Justin, Dalton, Hunter and Zachary and six girls, Jessica, Paige, Hanley, Savanna, Shelby and Sierra and one great granddaughter, Brynlie.
She loved collecting dolls, wind chimes and jewelry. Her family meant the world to her and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She loved her dogs and cats. She was a wonderful piano player and studied it for 16 years. She took great pride in gardening and her yard. One year she won the “Most Beautiful Yard” award and got a big banner to put in the yard for a few weeks. She had a beautiful personality and her smile was contagious.
John and Connie loved to go for rides and would go different routes to see a lot of different places. One time they rode out to Topaz Mountain and she told John that was the longest ride through nothing to get to nowhere.
The kids used to call her “Hot Rod Mama” and she used to race cars on Main Street with the kids in the car. She also took the girls toilet papering houses.
John and Connie got in a tubing accident when the kids were small and it crushed vertebrates in her back. Connie suffered with diabetes and arthritis caused a lot of pain for her knees and feet for years.
We all have special memories of her and we can take comfort in those until we see her again.
