Me and my cousin Laurie took our kids to the Lehi Fun Center. It was fun and the kids had a blast. After a while it got so hot and so busy, so we left and got a slushee and went to a park.
Zachary had to get a cavity filled. We have gone about a year with no kids having any cavities, but this time he had one. He was a pretty good sport about getting it fixed.
As part of Hanley's birthday, she had a friend sleep over then we picked up another friend and headed to the reservoir. It was so hot so it was nice to cool off in the cold water.
Zachary made a rocket in scouts and the night they were going to shoot them into the sky, it was raining. They were going to go ahead and do them but then the lightning and thunder started. So they will shoot them off another time. Anyway, it was fun to see the rocket he made.
Hanley is 13 today! I am so blessed to have a beautiful, fun, caring, sweet, helpful, funny, outgoing, loving 13 year old daughter. I'm so proud of the young lady she is becoming and am grateful to have her as my daughter.
Paige had to work Friday afternoon and Saturday, so Brynlie stayed at our house until Saturday evening. It was fun to spend time with her and the kids had a blast playing. We took them to the park before we took her home.
We went to the Ute Stampede Thursday night. It was so much fun to have Paige and Brynlie come with us. It was a fun rodeo. They always have a sky diver that lands in the arena with an American Flag. At the end they had a couple motorcycle riders that did jumps and flips and all kinds of fun things. That was Zachary's favorite part.
We spent the 4th of July at my parents house like we have for years. It's one of my favorite holidays. I love watching the kids catch candy at the parade, see aunts/uncles/cousins that I don't see very often, watching the kids swim, listening to (or going to) the Demolition Derby and especially the fireworks right across the street. This year they were so so awesome! We all went to dinner the night before and took turns driving my dad's new side-by-side. It was fun!
Luckily this little guy is so darn cute because he's been driving us crazy. He keeps getting out of the yard and we can't figure out where he's getting out at. He doesn't go anywhere, he just hangs out in the field behind our house. I don't understand why he does it.
Saturday afternoon we loaded up the kids and took them to the reservoir to beat some of the crazy heat we've had. It was totally packed but we still had fun.
Friday afternoon was the parade for the city celebration. The kids got tons of candy and it was a nice break from our full day of sitting in the sun for the yard sale.
We had a yard sale last weekend. It was so much work to get everything gathered up and outside. And it was sooo hot! We had tons of people on Friday and lots on Saturday. We made about $250 but still have tons of stuff left. Maybe we'll have another one later in the summer when it's not so hot.
