Halloween

Since it's Savanna's birthday, I let her skip school and come to work with me for Halloween. The owners of the company walk around to look at costumes and I told them it was her birthday. They handed her a $50 bill. She was so excited! I usually just wear scrubs to work on Halloween but I found this cave man costume in our box of costumes. So I wore that instead.

Pumpkins

We bought some stencils and made some fun pumpkins.

Old Pictures

I was cleaning some things out of my spare bedroom. I started going through some papers and found these old pictures from Paul's mom and dad's house.

Zach's Major Award

I got a call at work from the grocery store in Delta. She said that Zach had won a pumpkin guessing contest. I didn't know he went to the store with my mom while we were down in Delta. She said we could come pick it up. She laughed and said "it's pretty big". I told her that we didn't live there and that I would have my dad come get it. I don't know how much it actually weighed, but he guessed 101 pounds. I told my dad he had to go pick it up and put it on his porch and take a picture so I could show Zach. He thought it was so neat that he won.

Maze Runner Book Report

Zach had to do a book report. He chose to do a movie poster. We came up with this idea and it turned out pretty good.

Zach's Prank

Zach brought me a cup from Carl's Junior. He had been there with Paul a couple days ago. He was trying to get me to taste it. I knew it was old. He kept telling me "it still tastes good, have some". Then he tried to get Hanley to drink it. Later, it was still sitting on the counter, so I picked it up to throw it away and it felt oddly heavy. I opened the lid and saw this. It was too funny!

Mountain Ride

Hanley took the 4 wheeler for a ride in the mountains by our house. She took some awesome pictures.

Delta

My dad is running for mayor. He had these signs made to put around town and this one at his house.

My mom has a green thumb. Her flowers are always beautiful and are so big and pretty.

My niece's little girl Brielle came over and her and Savanna were looking at a little tiny silk worm. She had it on her finger and it fell off. She said "I'll save you!, and picked it up.

4 Wheeler

Zach has been wanting to ride our 4 wheeler every second he can since we got it back from getting repaired. One day he comes home and went straight up to his room. I knew something must be wrong. I yelled up the stairs asking him if everything was OK. He just peeked his head around the wall and said "yea". But I knew it wasn't. After a few minutes, I went upstairs and he had a towel wrapped around his leg, taped on with electrical tape. I could see some blood. I took the towel off and was shocked at how cut his leg was and that he was trying to hide it. I told him that he needed to tell someone so we can help him make sure it's clean and fix it up. He said that his leg got caught and hit the metal foot plate. He's lucky it didn't break his leg or something worse.

68 Socks & 14 Towels

All of us wear short black socks and I buy each of us a different brand/look so we know who they belong to. One day after doing laundry, I realized there weren't very many socks or bathroom towels. I went into Hanleys room and she had 14 towels on her floor. As I was picking them up, I also saw a lot of black socks, everyone's socks. I picked them all up and threw them in the washer. Then I thought "I wonder just how many socks there are". So I took them back out and counted them as I put them back in one by one. There were 68 socks!! I had to take a picture and show her.

Turkeys

We found two flocks of wild turkeys on our way home. We only saw the second because we kept heading up the canyon to see the beautiful fall colors.
