Sick Boy

Zach didn't feel good all of Easter weekend and stayed home from school Monday through Wednesday. He had a fever the entire time. We could break it with either Ibuprofen or Tylenol, but within a few hours it always came back. We took him to the doctor Monday afternoon and of course there wasn't anything they could do, we just had to wait it out. Finally this morning he didn't have a fever, so I made him go to school. He still didn't feel great, but made it through the entire day. I don't remember him ever feeling so bad.

Easter Weekend

We went to Delta for Easter. We dyed eggs and did an egg hunt. My niece came over with her cute little baby, Brielle.

Snow

It snowed about 5 inches. And there are a few more storms on the way in the next week. I wanted summer to be here, but it's great to get the water in the mountains and it'll get warmer soon.

Hike

The weather has been nice and I decided to hike up the mountain. Zach came with me. I need to take advantage of it more, since it's just a half block away to get on the trail and it's great exercise. Zach said "it's like we are on a mom and son date." Then when we got home he said "let's go out to eat, you know, just me and you." I had mentioned to him a few weeks ago something about a mom and son date. He thought it sounded really weird, but ever since then, he keeps mentioning that we should go. So sometime I'll have to take him on an actual date.

Day Off

The kids had the day out of school so I took the day off work. Hanley and her friends were doing a yard sale. Savanna had a sleep over with her friend. So I took Zach to the skate park to ride his bike. When we got back home, I got a few things done around the yard, then we picked up Savanna and went to the movie Zootopia. Then got a few more things done around the house. The huge pile of pine needles in the backyard are ready to burn and there is at least that many in the front yard that still need to be raked up.

Invention Convention

Savanna had to come up with an invention for the 3rd grade Invention Convention. It was a bad week when the blueprint was due, so we ended up just doing the exact same thing as Zach. We were going to remake it then we ran out of time, so we used his old invention. I felt like such a bad mom.

Jazz Dunk Team

The last few years, Nu Skin has had the Jazz Dunk Team come and perform in our building to kick off our March Madness events. It's really fun to watch.

Salem Pond

We took a Sunday drive down to Salem Pond so the kids could ride their bikes. Or walk along side dad.

Activity Days

Savanna's Activity Day group had a combined activity with the Relief Society, Young Women and Activity Day girls. It was an auction. Everyone brought either a service or item to auction off and a treat to share. Savanna had a lot of fun and won a cute bean bag toss game.
